King Kong drives a Volkswagen

I came across this news story on the web today. Click me!

I guess you could say this guy's life has gone down the toilet? *cough*

Ahem..umm..so..anyway, I heard on a local radio show that the trailer for December's King Kong remake is online, so I went to the movie's website to check it out. There on the very basic website I click on the link titled "Trailer" and I get taken to.. the site for Volkswagen? What the?! I look around and all I see is "King Kong" in bold letters. I click on that, and after having to watch a Volkswagen animation, there's another link, "watch the trailer" where finally I see the trailer.. after picking the size of course.

Alright, now I can't even watch a darn movie trailer without seeing an advertisement. I suppose this means come December we'll be seeing commercials for Volkswagen featuring King Kong? I can see it now.. "Oh no! Kong just stepped on that brand new, 2006 Volkswagen! Notice how quickly the side and front airbags deployed? Those come standard!" Cause when we think of King Kong, we all think of Volkswagen. (Not to mention the movie takes place like in the 1920s but I digress.)

On the plus side, the trailer does look pretty cool. :)

It's not magic but hey it will do

After a hard days work I often come home with my head swimming with numerous thoughts. Sometimes they relate to what happened during the day and other times they don't relate to anything at all. Recently, I have found myself having a hard time falling asleep because the thoughts get so loud in my head that I can't relax. When this happens, I recall certain passages in one of my Harry Potter books. Yes, I read Harry Potter and no I really don't give flip if people think its evil. Anyways, in one of the books the author describes a magical object called a Pensive. Basically the Pensive is a bowl that stores memories. Any wizard that has a thought they would like to set aside but not forget, would store it in this Pensive. Since Pensives are non- existent or maybe stored in a secret government location near Groom Lake (Area 52). I have to rely on other means. This what I hope this blog will do for me. Any ideas or thoughts(no matter how insane they sound) will be placed in here for safekeeping. I am really excited about this blog and maybe it will help me strengthen my creativity and give me another form of therapy.

A Simple Flick of the Wrist

Ok, I am convinced that most of the population here has Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

That's the only way I can explain the fact that people just cannot seem to perform actions that involve just a simple flick of the wrist (or is it flip of the wrist? oh well).

Take driving for example.. using the turn signal, specifically. Using the turn signal takes minimal effort, if any. Yet on a consistent basis, people weave in and out of lanes without so much as a signal. Time and time again people have either drifted or suddenly turned into my lane without warning. You can drive while talking on your cell phone, but you can't use the turn signal. Okay..

Then, there is using the bathroom. I don't know if it's the same way for the women out there, but I'm disgusted to say that I frequently encounter unflushed toilets in public restrooms. Not only is it a simple task, but it is for the benefit of those around you! I've even been in the restroom to witness such atrocities.. and not just in the urinals (yuck!)

So, you got me. Carpal Tunnel is the only explanation I can think of. Why else can't people perform such simple, curteous tasks?

Welcome to Battle Plan!

What is Battle Plan?

Well, Battle Plan is the name my contributor and I came up with for our supergroup on the game City of Heroes. We Felt it would fit well with our blog. We wanted a place to post random thoughts, movie reviews, stuff about the game, and of course, insane rants. We'll definitely try to post on a regular basis, and please let us know your thoughts.

Until next time! (Or would that be the first time, since it will be my first "real" post? Oh bother.)
